This decade is looking to be one of many changes, some of which we have the opportunity to participate in and to challenge. Children are one third of our population and the most important asset of our Nation. However, the Health of these children is jeopardized by life-threatening emergencies which in turn increases the mortality and morbidity rate in our country.

Children requiring emergency care have unique and special needs. Nurses working in pediatric unit experience the challenges of caring critically ill children taking every ounce of skill to overcome.
